8th Grade Science - $375 per year + $50 copy/materials/lab fee

*This course is suitable for 8th and 9th grade students.

This course introduces the study of energy and matter along with learning the basics of scientific observation, processes, and physical science concepts. Students will learn through performing lab experiments, participating in lectures, and holding discussions as well as additional hands-on activities. The first few modules cover scientific method, chemical properties, states of matter, atomic structures, and the periodic table. Next, students will cover chemical bonds, reactants and energy, physical forces and motions, and will end with earth science and its atmosphere, which is a total of 15 chapter-modules. Once complete, students will have a clear understanding of the physical world through the study of science and how amazing it is.
