High School American Sign Language (ASL) - $425 per year + $25 Lab Fees

ASL is is an immersive, game-based class.  Through games and everyday communication, we will learn American Sign Language (ASL), and this class will be conducted in ASL from the very first day.  You will be immersed in the language for 2 hours a week to maximize your language learning.  By making conversations the centerpiece of each lesson, vocabulary and grammar are taught in context, allowing students to effectively develop their ability to think and converse in ASL.  There is no speaking so that the class simulates a deaf environment.  This may sound daunting at first, but trust me, it works!  Most students complete ASL I with the ability to enter the Deaf community and comfortably carry on a conversation.
