High School Physical Education with Health and Nutrition: $250 + $_________ Materials/Supply Fee
Although this class meets ONCE A WEEK on Thursdays ONLY, this is a COMPREHENSIVE Physical Fitness with Health and Fitness class!
The Physical Fitness Health & Wellness Program is designed to help high school students build healthy habits, confidence, and lifelong wellness skills through movement, fitness, and health education.
This program goes beyond traditional physical education by combining physical activity with practical wellness education in a supportive and engaging environment.
Students will participate in activities focused on: Strength and conditioning; Cardio and endurance; Flexibility and mobility; Team-building activities; Functional fitness; Goal setting and accountability
Classes are designed to be interactive, age-appropriate, and encouraging for students of all fitness levels. In addition to physical activity, students will also explore health and wellness topics such as: Nutrition and healthy eating habits; Hydration and recovery; Mental and emotional wellness; Stress management; Healthy lifestyle choices; Basic first aid and safety awareness
Students may also have opportunities to: Track fitness progress; Participate in wellness challenges; Set personal fitness goals; Use fitness apps or activity trackers when appropriate
The program emphasizes: Participation over competition; Building confidence; Developing healthy routines; Leadership and teamwork; Creating positive relationships with fitness and wellness
Our goal is to create an environment where students feel motivated, supported, and empowered to take ownership of their health and well-being while developing habits they can carry into adulthood.
